Indiana won the Big Ten Universities qualifier tournament this weekend, and in fact it wasn't really all that close. IU is highly motivated to do well in 7s, and thumped Illinois - who had already beaten Michigan, our previously highest-ranked Big Ten team - in the final.
AIC remains ranked ahead of Kutztown despite KU beating AIC this past weekend. But it's a close thing and we might yet see Kutztown move up even further. South Carolina and Tennessee, consistent performers in the SCRC, and Notre Dame and JMU, who have done well in two straight tournaments, come into the rankings. Teams that aren't playing 7s are dropping out.
We also list what major tournament these teams are finishing their season with. We've left St. Mary's blank because it's likely they won't do anything. The * means that the teams involved are in tournaments that qualify for the CRC, but they might opt to go for the USA championship if they finish 2nd, or something.
If you wish to use the list of where teams are going to finish their 7s season as a comparison, feel free. What you might notice is that the CRC is perhaps marginally stronger at the top end, but, compared to USA Rugby's championship, falls away a little faster and isn't really strong at the bottom end.
