Iowa and Iowa State, who played to a tight 24-22 result earlier in the season, will meet again, this time for the Heart of America title.
Defending champs Iowa State lost that 24-22 game to the Hawkeyes, but Saturday they defeated Oklahoma 59-12 to advance to the final.
The Sooners' defense has been very good all season, but Iowa State was finally close to fully healthy and it made a difference.
Even so, two starters were injured in the first 20 minutes. All that playing with injuries meant that the Cyclones were able to adjust.
"OU has a weird playing style that's tough to plan for," said Iowa State Head Coach Ant Frein. "There isn't much rhyme or reason to it but they back everything they d 100%."
Jack Cahill, whose older brother Tyler has been a big part of ISU's success, had a massive game at center.
