HS All Americans Name Roster for 2nd BC Game
Tomorrow the Girls High School All Americans (GHSAAs), powered by ATAVUS, will look for their second win against the British Columbia U18s. Yesterday, the GHSAAs defeated their Canadian host 58-0 in the program's first-ever 15s game. Sunday's match kicks off at 8:45 a.m. but will not be streamed.
There are a few lineup changes from game one. Sacramento's Ana Polaulu and Grant's Tiara A'au return to prop, but Rainier Plateau's Hannah Lewandowski takes over at hooker for Destiny Arena. The front row is reinforced once again by the powerful Taylor Makowski (Northside) and Rian Moala (South Bay), and they're flanked by returning loose forwards Joanna Moreira (Kent), Emma Workman (Fallbrook), and Mililani Leui (South Bay) at No. 8.
A fantastic halfback duo in MaryJane Pasioles (Sacramento) and Leah Ingold (Kent) return to lead a very potent offense. Bayleigh Gable (Grandville) gets the start at inside center, having subbed on as flyhalf in game one, and replacing Caitlin Weigel from Friday. The Michigan product will team up with returning outside center Sui A'au (Grant), older sister to prop Tiara. The back three remains the same: wings Nia Toliver (ICEF) and Becca Jane Rosko (Summit), who combined for six tries on Friday, and fullback Kayla Canett (Fallbrook) holding down the backfield.
