Fall Men DI College Rankings Week 9

Here in the latest Men's Fall DI college rankings, Kutztown fell from #1 after losing to Penn State, and that's not all.

Kutztown's loss might not have dropped them from #1 if it was considered a bit of a flukey win - it wasn't. Penn State beat the #1 team, but already lost to Army and, tellingly, AIC (yes, a long time ago, but still), so #1 isn't for them, anyway. So we start looking at teams that could move up. Arkansas State beat Davenport convincingly, and the only thing really holding them back is the small number of games they've played this fall. 

Indiana could move up, but the closeness of their win over Davenport and then Wisconsin this past weekend keep us a little wary. So, AIC, which won big over a very strong Boston College team, and has beaten Penn State, moves back to #1. Any of the top seven teams could conceivably still move up to #1, including ASU even though they have no more games to play this fall. 

We have the SCRC playoffs coming up, and there's also a solid possibility that Tennessee or Alabama could vault up to the upper echelon (we panlized Alabama for a loss last week that was their B team ... so our apologies about that - the Tide moves up this weekend). Indiana has a shot with the Big Ten final this coming weekend, and a big victory could get them to the top. 

And then we've got the ACRC Bowl Series, which will put AIC against Clemson, and Kutztown against Indiana. What if Kutztown beats Indiana? Maybe the Bears can say, legitimately, that they had one iffy day and beat everybody else.

Then again, AIC beats Clemson and they can secure the top spot.

Then again, Indiana wins the Big Ten and beats Kutztown by 15 or 20 and they could be #1.
