USA Men's 7s Coch Mike Friday named his squad to play in the HSBC World Series opening tournaments in Dubai Dec 4-5, and Cape Town a week later.

Regulars from the 2014-15 season return, with Carlin Isles, Garrett Bender, Zack Test, Folau Niua, Maka Unufe, Perry Baker, and captain Madison Hughes on the squad. Also selected are rangy players Will Holder and Brett Thompson. Thompson is back from injury, which kept him out of USA 7s consideration for most of last season, and Holder has simply worked his way into a spot.

Nate Augspurger, who broke into the luneup late last season, and Matai Leuta, who was in and out, are also selected. And finally, former USA captain Kevin Swyrin, who retired from international rugby three years ago due to injuries, has made his way back and made the squad. Swiryn was at the heart of the best USA performances previous to last season, and provides an excellent combination of power, speed, rugby intelligence, and experience.
