It's still early and we didn't have a lot of D1A games over the weekend.
However ... we did get a good one, with Davenport over Mount St. Mary's.
Davenport Pulls Away in Neutral-Venue Win Over Mount St. Mary's
For Davenport. this is a big boost for the Panthers. As we discussed in the article linked above and the video below, playing in the Challenger Cup playoff, which they won. That experience, with almost all of their seniors walking at graduation that weekend, was huge for Davenport.
They come in now with a group that won three playoff games in a row—not easy no matter whether it's the Championship level or the Challenger level—and have the confidence of winners.
You could see it in their play.
Mount St. Mary's is probably better than the 36-3 scoreline, but they will have to show that.
The other big result was Indiana losing 36-26 to Arkansas State. We have nudged Indiana up with that solid showing and Arkansas State also moves up a spot.
