As in the West, the East bracket of the CRAA D1A playoffs saw the higher-seeded teams win.

Navy Stranglehold

Navy can control a match like no other and they did that this time around.

"We were very dominant in the first half," Navy DOR Gavin Hickie told NavySports. "Our penalty count in the second half went against us, and we failed to dominate the half the way we wanted to. There are plenty of things we're happy about and to be able to score 40 points in a playoff game, we're content with that."

Ian Bullock, Kade Williams, Avion Ganse, Jack Taylor, Austin Skidmore, and Nate Roberts all scored tries. Roanin Krieger was good on five of the six conversions.

Mary Washington said Jack Joyce added two penalty goals while Nick White scored the lone UMW try.

Navy did well to close out the game.

Lions vs Lions

Lindenwood had defeated Penn State convincingly earlier this spring but the Nittany Lions were expected to battle a little tougher the second time around.

And it was This game had a bit of a test match feel and both teams opted to kick for points when in midseason they might have pushed to get a try. The problem was, missed on the PSU side gave Lindenwood a letoff.

It remained 10-3 to just before halftime when flanker Riley Richardson-Mould kept low and managed to get to the line.

That made it 17-3, and Lindenwood methodically pulled away to win 31-10.

Still, while they go home, the Penn State team pulled off a great result. Lindenwood did well to just put the game away.

Black Knights of Red Wolves

Army put in perhaps the best performance, matching ASU's physicality and showing that they, too, can make decisions on the fly.

"We are thrilled to extend our season another week into the postseason," said Army Head Coach Matt Sherman. "This group has been a true privilege to work with all year. I thought this was a really strong step forward in our climb, and what we got right was staying present and focused on execution and process, even when there were a few blemishes. What's most exciting is we know there's another 5–10% better in us with greater accuracy, and we're looking forward to getting back to work ahead of the quarterfinal."

Army now plays Navy in the next round.

Life Speeds On

Life University hammered Mount St. Mary's 61-5. They showcased their composure as well as their skill.

Life will take on Lindenwood in another classic rivalry.
