The CRC runs competitions for 144 teams this coming weekend.
We already looked at the Men’s Premier, which is the largest bracket with 32 teams. Every other bracket has 16 teams—seven brackets, 112 teams. It’s massively ambitious and it’s pretty impressive to run a tournament of that size (there are a few that do this, and one or two are bigger, but it’s still pretty big).

Women Premier
Favorites: Brown
Other Contenders: AIC, Wheeling
Dark Horse: Penn State
Most Likely to Finish 9th: Southern Nazarene … maybe Bowdoin
Most Likely to Finish 5th: Navy, AIC
Actually there are several dark horses in this group and we wouldn’t be surprised if Navy was able to get by Brown—7s is, after all, unpredictable. We think Wheeling vs AIC will be a quarterfinal that everyone will want to watch.
Men D1 Club
Favorites: Louisville
Other Contenders: A bunch of them.
Dark Horse: UMass
Most Likely to Finish 9th: Whoever loses between Nebraska and Tennessee
Most Likely to Finish 5th: UNC Charlotte
Louisville looked very good in qualifying. They did so before the MAC Conference 7s, so sent a very young team to that tournament and they finished 2nd.

Favorites: Northeastern
Other Contenders: Claremont Colleges
Dark Horse: Arizona State or UMass
Most Likely to Finish 9th: Loser of Arizona State and UMass
Most Likely to Finish 5th: Colorado State
