The Wisconsin HS 7s season is well underway with with the Chargers out of Sheboygan County undefeated so far.

The Chargers have entered two teams, with Chargers 1 going 3-0 in the tournament in Pulaski, and 3-0 in Green Bay. The Chargers 2 team was also undefeated in Pulaski, but were edged 21-19 by Middleton in Green Bay and sit 5-1 so far.

Middleton is the third team challenging for top in the state. The team lost only 7-5 in Pulaski and 12-10 to Chargers 2 before sweeping Chargers 2, and the 1st and 2nd teams from a squad called 4488.

The team dubbed 4488 1 is a combination of players from the Green  Bay Leprechauns and DePere Red Dogs, while 4488 2 is mainly the Pulaski Roos. There will also be a 4488 in the next tournament with players from the Green Bay Mavericks. If you've not figured it out yes, 4488 is the longitude (88 degrees west) and latitude (44 degrees north) of Green Bay, Wisc. Francis Brunette and the other area coaches initially planned on players from the GB schools to combine to form the one team, but team loyalties die hard and the players have been gravitating to play with athletes from their regular clubs. 

After week 2, Chargers 1's Beau Goudreau is the series try leader with 13 total tries, including nine in green Bay. Pulaski and Wisconsin Select Side Head Coach Francis Brunette has spearheaded the series, while Wisconsin RFU president Todd Prochniak oversees tournament day operations. The series will conclude at Chargers RFC's home event on October 22 in Cedar Grove, Wisc.
