There's a good chance that St. Ignatius could have moved up to #1 this week after two victories this week.

But ... we'll wait. This coming weekend Ignatius plays Notre Dame de la Salette. That's a repeat of the 2025 national school semifinal, and those teams ended up #1 (Ignatius) and #3 (la Salette) in the tournament. That will tell us more. In addition, Herriman plays East HS, and Torrey Pines plays Orange Lutheran tonight (rescheduled from Saturday).

So we'd be better off assessing #1 after that.

Elsewhere:

Gregory the Great over Gonzaga moves GGA up and Gonzaga down.

Xavier moves down after a big loss to Doylestown. Now, we feel this was a reflection of Doylestown being very good, not that Xavier is poor. Certainly Xavier was a little undercooked (barely even defrosted, really). They stay close.

St. Martin's moves up 10 spots after a really good win over Pendleton. Denver East moves up six spots after beating Valor.

And into the second half, or so, of the Top 50 we've got a ton of movement. Celina keeps moving up and their huge win over Lake Travis sees Travis drop out ... for now. Christian Brothers of Tennessee beat Brother Martin and move into the Top 50.

Also moving in ... Bishop O'Dowd (who were there before), Monarch (beat Regis Jesuit in a clash of teams just outside the 50). Loyola Blakefield had a creditable loss to Georgetown Prep.
