We've not been updating the club rankings every week because the density of club games hasn't been super high.
But with the Puriri Memorial, we did have a bunch this week. Now, it's important to be careful about an event like the Puriri. This is a preseason event and teams often put out a development group and take a loss in order to help players get up to speed.
That's what LCA did and so they don't move down this week. However, we also give credit where it's due. Cavemen did beat our school #1 Herriman. In addition, Red Mountain (boosted by a result we missed) and Mountain View both come into the Top 50 as a result of the Puriri games.
However, this is a relatively ephemeral ranking because it's based on the one Invitational and some other early games. Things could change drastically. Same goes for Cavemen, who jump up to #1 for now.
NorCal club action gets going right now and with more games being played we'll see more shifting.
