Men DII College Brackets Updated
Here's the updated DII brackets.
UMass-Lowell defeated Roger Williams 48-21 to win the Rugby Northeast championship to make the Round of 16. Coast Guard defeated IUP 24-21 in a tight one, pitting CGA against Towson in the next round.
Mines, L-B to Next Round
The Colorado School of Mines is in to the national Round of 16 after beating Winona State out of the Northern Lights Conference 54-22.
This is the latest impressive result from the Orediggers, which moved back up to DII from the Small College competition this year, and ran the table in the Rocky Mountain Conference.
Rhode Island Edges UVM for NECRC Title
Rhode Island is in the USA Rugby Men's DII College Round of 16 after beating University of Vermont 15-7 Saturday.
Salisbury over Coastal in Play-In
Salisbury University is through to the national men’s DII Round of 16 after a touch 27-21 victory over Coastal Carolina in a play-in match between the two conference runners-up.
It was a game of two contrasting styles as Coastal attempted to keep the ball in tight and punch it up the middle, and Salisbury tried to use ball movement and their kick game to stretch the Coastal defense.
