RMA Podcast: Big Man on Campus

Luke Gross enjoyed a rugby career as an American that is almost unprecedented in its length at the highest levels.

A basketball player at Indiana State and also at Marshall, Gross picked up the sport of rugby late, but his career blossomed with the Cincinnati Wolfhounds and with his 6-9 frame and love of contact, he soon earned notice from the USA setup.

USA Women Make Podium Again; Can It Last?

In a way it was a deeply head-shaking weekend for the USA Women's 7s team.

Bucking Trends, USA Women in Sydney 7s

The Eagle women are back in the semifinals after two intense and nailbiting clashes ith Great Britain.

Team GB had achieved their best finish in the World Series season last time out, taking 5th, but it had been a weird, up-and-down performance. Great Britain was much more consistent this time around and against the USA were tenacious on defense and opportunistic.

Eagle Men Grounded in Pool Play

The USA Men's 7s team faltered in pool play in Sydney, losing in rather extravagant fashion to Samoa and Ireland.

The team that had surprise so many in recent weeks seemed to hit a bit of a wall against both of those sides. Just a shade slower to the ball, and not as dominant in the tackle, they found themselves scrambling to get going.
