Hawkins Out as USA 7s Coach
USA Rugby has posted a report that USA Men's 7s Head Coach Matt Hawkins has stepped down.
Hawkins, who was captain of the USA team before being named Head Coach a little over a year ago, is one of the USA's most experienced 7s players.
The South-African-born former water polo player with the nickname The Polar Bear, is the USA's third coach since early 2011.
The Eagles Comeback and Why it HappenedWas this the greatest comeback in USA Men’s National Team history? Down by 17 points in the second half, the USA scored 20 unanswered to win 38-35 over Canada, and in so doing finished June on a high and garnered no little bit of fan appreciation in Sacramento. As far as I can tell, this is most certainly the biggest USA comeback.

Petri Has Faith in Eagle Offense
It’s easy to forget in the wake of the USA’s 37-29 loss to Japan last weekend that they scored just as many tries - four - as the Brave Blossoms.
The offense, so often struggling for tries, has shown signs of finishing. USA scrumhalf Mike Petri sees it.
Scrum Focus of Week Three Work
The scrum remains a difficulty for the USA Men’s National Team, and they’ve been working hard at it this week; and the message is, scrum all the way.
