Southern Virginia University has hired David Smyth to be the college's new men's rugby head coach.
Smyth, who won multiple major championships with BYU, with be the program's first varsity head coach.

WWU, WSU Lead In NCRC 7s
Western Washington and Washington State lead the field after Day One of the Men’s NCRC 7s in Pullman, WA.
WWU went 3-0, defeating Washington 43-7, Eastern Washington 19-12, Oregon 42-0. In the seller Pool B, WSU needed just two victories, but both of them were close. The Cougars beat Boise State 12-5 and Oregon State 24-19 to win the group.
