Preseason Match Competitive Between Marian, Davenport
Marian University pulled off their second-straight close win in their preseason Saturday with a 27-25 defeat of Davenport.
The Knights came back from a 22-5 deficit to win the game. While this was a preseason match and Davenport changed up some combinations, it was still a strong showing for Marian.
Queens, Kentucky Take Much out of Clash in Tennessee
In an interesting cross-divisional matchup this weekend, Queens University Charlotte defeated two-time defending NCR D1AA champs Kentucky 47-13.
Queens ran out another XV to play Tennessee, another strong D1AA team, and Tennessee won that match 63-0. Tennessee hosted both matches in Knoxville.
Southern Nazarene Wins Wayne State Clash in Nebraska
Southern Nazarene kicked off their men's rugby season Friday afternoon with a well-taken 24-3 win over Wayne State.
While Wayne State already had a game under their belt (see here>>), where they won, their offense did not catch fire this time around.
