The CRAA U19s kicked off the RAN U19 Championships with an emphatic win over Bermuda Wednesday in Querétaro, Mexico.
Bermuda's defense struggled to organize in time during CRAA phase play and as a result gaps opened up fairly frequently. The opening try came off some pressure form the CRAA team and then scrumhalf and captain Fatman Thorndyke sniped through the first channel off the ruck and soared in.
The CRAA team continued to control most of the possession and exploited space to score six tries in the first 20-minute half.
(Games are 40 minutes because World Rugby limits U19 players to 90 minutes in a day, and all teams are playing two matches per day in pool play.)
