Utah State Takes Steps After a Taste of the Postseason
It's easy to overlook Utah State.
The Aggies play in the Rocky Mountain Conference with some higher-profile teams, such as BYU, Utah, Air Force, Colorado, and Colorado State. But USU has done pretty well for itself as a rugby entity, and last year made the semis of the D1A Challenge Cup.
Nobody else might have expectations, but Utah State does.
D1A Rankings for 2025-26 Week 3
We're still moving a little slowly this early in the season for D1A, but we have had some impressive showings.
Navy's win over Mary Washington was a head-turner for us. They move past Life, but remember that Life is coming back onto the field this week.
Illinois comes into the Top 25 after a good showing against Purdue. Utah State moves up after beating Air Force.
Men D1AA Rankings Week 3 25-26
What was really great about this past week in D1AA was how many close games there were.
We had a tie, and at least three high-level games decided bby a try or less. This is exciting for the division. You want like-minded, like-ability teams playing against each other.
Men NCR D1 Rankings Week 3 2025
We have a little bit of shifting this week in our NCR D1 rankings.
Walsh lost big to Army and drops a spot because of that. But, as usual, we try not to react too quickly on one result. Wisconsin comes into the Top 20 after a nicely-taken win over Michigan State. We also have Syracuse and Virginia Tech lurking close to the Top 20.
What Ranked D1A Teams Did This Weekend
Seven ranked D1A teams were in action this weekend and they're all worth a look for different reasons.
Opening up the list is Navy (Ranked #3 by GRR), which looked very, very impressive in a 65-3 win over Mary Washington (#11).
