ACRC Coaches Poll Week 10
ACRC Coaches Poll Week 10
Not surprsingly, Rugby East clinchers Army remains atop the ACRC Coaches Poll, as polled by Goff Rugby Report. This week's poll retains the top four from the last vote.
As they have been doing all season, Clemson and Dartmouth switched places, with Clemson moving up this time thanks to their defeat of Maryland in league action. Bowling Green moves up a place after winning the MAC, while Indiana slips a spot. Tennessee defeated South Carolina in SCRC action and as a result bumps up two spots. Wheeling Jesuit lost, but a close one to Army, and that moves them from #12 to #10.
Dropping down to #11 is Maryland after the Terps lost to Clemson. WIsconsin bumps up a place after making the Big Ten final, and Ohio State's upset of Michigan puts the BUckeyes in the Top 20 at #13. Michigan drops behind Ohio State. Stony Brook apparently surprised no one in winning the Empire, so the Seawolves hang relatively steady. But Western Michigan moves up from Honorable Mention status after they upended Dayton in the MAC playoffs.
North Texas, West Virginia, South Carolina, and Dayton round out the Top 20.
Next up for the ACRC will be the SCRC playoffs in Columbia, SC this coming weekend, as well as #4 Penn State v Honorable Mention Iona. Also on the slate will be Wisconsin v Ohio State for the Big Ten Championship (Indiana, despite being undefeated, is ineligible to win that trophy).
Then the week after will be the ACRC Bowls, with most of these teams involved.
