UCLA and Arizona clashed in a really close and exciting game Saturday between two former PAC teams.
Both are playing as independents now, but this is still a strong rivalry and the games are frequently close. In this case it certainly was, as the Bruins held off Arizona 30-27 in LA.

Some Big Scores in D1A Western Bracket Cal Poly visited Cal for Round 1 in the Western Bracket and the Mustangs started the game on the front foot and using their kicking game to test the Bears. A Coby Baker penalty attempt drifted wide, and after a few minutes Cal finally got into Mustangs territory.
Arizona Riding Strong Form Into DIA Mix
The University of Arizona has been creeping every closer to its rivals this year.
But that progress has been seen in competitive losses, one to BYU and one to Cal. March 4's very, very close win over UCLA also kind of his the Wildcats' progress. But this week, Arizona beat Colorado 56-12 in emphatic fashion.
Cal Has to Work For It to Beat Arizona
Arizona pushed Cal 36-17 Saturday in PAC Rugby Conference action.
The result took Cal to 9-0 and to 3-0 in the conference, which the Bears have now clinched, but it was also notable for how close it was, as a Wildcat team that was beaten soundly by Cal a year ago were within a score with 20 minutes to go.
