The winner of Rudy Scholz Award, given each year to the top men's college rugby player in the country, has been decided and it's Oscar Treacy from Central Washington University.
Freda Tafuna Wins the MA Sorensen Award for the 2nd Time in a Row
Lindenwood University loose forward Freda Tafuna has won the MA Sorensen Award for the second year in a row.
The first multiple winner of the award, Tafuna was a unanimous choice by the Sorensen Award selection committee.
MA Sorensen Award Finalists Named
The finalists for the MA Sorensen Award have been named.
These players will be voted on by the MA Sorensen Award Committee to pick the winner.
The MA Sorensen Award is officially presented at a gala event at the Washington Athletic Club in Seattle, Wash. June 7. This will be the 10th awarding of the Sorensen.

The Scholz Award is presented to the best male collegiate rugby player in the USA. This is the 10th presentation of the award, which is given by the Washington Athletic Club of Seattle, Wash.
2025 Rudy Scholz Award Nominees Named
The nominees for the 2024-25 Rugby Scholz Award as the nation's top male collegiate rugby player have been finalized.
The players, drawn from D1-level rugby around the nation, were nominated by a committee of coaches and observers. Now, fans and team leaders will have the opportunity to vote for the finalists.
