The USA U20 women won convincingly over the South African U20s 60-17 Friday in Stellenbosch, RSA to return from that tour 2-0.
This match culminated a short tour of the African nation, which included a warmup match (won by the USA 47-12) before what was generally considered the major international.
Stirring Comeback as USA U20s Win Final Match at Junior World Championships
The USA U20s came back from 15-0 down to win the 15th-place playoff at the Junior World Championships, securing the program's first ever victory in the top-tier Under 20 tournament.
While the USA has won and finished 2nd in the Junior World Trophy, that is the now-discontinued 2nd tier event. At the JWC the USA has heretofore been winless.
