Friday night brings us the clash of undefeateds in North Carolina's school league with the upstart Charlotte Catholic against the more established Hough Huskies. (Rescheduled to Jan 28 due to weather.)

In fact, we had some action this past weekend with Torrey Pines and San Clemente facing off in Southern California. Torrey Pines won 49-14.

Somehow Belmont Shore did it.
Really, it wasn’t as if Shore was playing poorly, but after a loss to the touring Woodlands side from Texas and then in the regular season to the San Diego Mustangs, as well as a very nervy and close semifinal to the SOC Raptors, they were not favorites to win the SoCal Boys HS Club final this past weekend.

Mustangs Win Big Battle in SoCal In a meeting of two of the top HS Clubs in Southern California, the San Diego Mustangs defeated the SOC Raptors 31-21. The Mustang halfback combination of Spencer Huntley at scrumhalf and Rocco Pool at flyhalf produced the fireworks.
