Rck Bailey was the starting prop for the USA through the 1987 Rugby World Cup.

A standout for Cal and later the Old Blues, he was a hard-nosed, multi-skilled front-rower who brought knowledge of many sports to his play in rugby. Bailey earned a football scholarship to BYU but later transferred to Cal, where he played both football and rugby. After Cal he moved on to the Old Blues, and his play there earned him his first cap in 1979.

He was MVP of the 1986 national club championships, one of seven seasons in which he patrolled loosehead prop for a national championship club team.
