We're down to the key weekend in CRAA Men's D1AA and here's where we stand.

NCRC

Western Washington has enjoyed one of their most consistently good seasons, and clinched the NCRC top spot last week in a win over University of Washington. At 7-0, WWU has one more game, but they've got it wrapped up.

WWU will face off with Trinity Western this week, while Central Washington can still secure 2nd with a win this week over Oregon State.

California NorCal

ARC took control of the conference with an emphatic win over San Jose State, their main rivals.

SJSU scored first, which marked the first time ARC has been behind all season.

But ARC slowly took control of that game.

They have hard workers in tight and they are physical. Prop Donavyn Allen got the 8x8 Sports D1AA player of the week, and he deserves it.

So with that, ARC has clinched #1 and is set for the playoffs.

California Southwest

Arizona State won big over Loyola Marymount and leads this conference with a 3-0 record. Nothing is set in stone here but it does look like ASU will be the #1 in this conference.

Claremont Colleges' second high-scoring win over USC puts them in a good spot for 2nd.

Florida

Florida State and Millennia Atlantic keep winning and they will certainly meet up in the conference final. Fun fact ... those two play this weekend in a clash of undefeateds.

What That All Means

The Florida winner will join Iowa State in the CRAA final four in Indianapolis in May. Western Washington will play ARC for a spot in that same CRAA semifinal.

A 4th, wild-card team, will play Arizona State for the final semifinal spot. You'd think maybe it would be the Florida Conference #2, however the travel costs preclude that option. Instead, it's likely the #2 from the NCRC or California NorCal. Right now, given how we still aren't sure who will be the #2 out of the Northwest, it will probably be San Jose State that takes that game.

(We don't know that ... we're just guessing.)

So there remains a lot on the line, and the WWU-ARC game promises to be a wild won.
