OK, so that's done. Now to the rankings.
Our #1 lost. We're not absolutely sure on the team that beat them being #1, especially as two other teams are campaigning for that spot. So Ignatius moves past Gonzaga, but not to #1. The #1 spot is between Herriman and De La Salle. Both are deserving. Herriman gets it thanks to two very impressive wins over well-regarded clubs. Now we know there were open subs and it's early days, but Herriman gets the boost of history.
De La Salle? (See our interview with their guys here>>). Yes, De La Salle did enough to move to #1 and would have had Herriman not played or faltered this past weekend. Also, had they won by more than two points, like maybe 10, then we might be putting the Spartans up there. And had both of those teams faltered then we've be talking St. Ignatius or maybe Xavier.
Oh, and of course, Carlsbad moves up after almost beating said De La Salle Spartans.
The good news is we've got lots of rugby left.
