Why Apply?

If you are on the fence about applying, you should apply. Why? Well the reasons to not go are things such as: turns out the funding isn't there; you're not having as good a season as you expected; you have sustained injuries that hurt your depth. All of these are very legitimate reasons not to attend the HS National Championships. 

But if those things happen, you can always retract your application or inform the Boys HS Rugby National Championships Committee that you don't want to be invited.

Now think of it from the other perspective. What if the funding is there and you have good depth and your team is having a maybe unexpectedly great season. If you haven't applied, and it's past the deadline, then you can't apply late. So it's better to apply and then take it back later than to not apply and wish you had.

What You'll Be Expected to Know

Invitation Only?

While some teams are straight-up invited, based mostly on their historical success, some teams or regions are invited based on local results. The HSNC might even request two teams schedule a game with the winner getting an invitation (and the losing team still in the mix). So there are play-in scenarios each year.

Assurances you can handle the financial requirements of attending

References that attest to your team's quality on and off the field
