Collegiate rugby players, coaches, and adminstrators, as well as fans, can help create the list of nominees for the 2027 MA Sorensen Award.

The MA Sorensen Award is given every year for the top women's collegiate rugby player in the USA. The award is awarded by the Washington Athletic Club of Seattle, Wash., and presented by Kells Irish Restaurant & Pub in Seattle.

It is named after MaryAnne Sorensen, a US Rugby Hall of Famer who was a starting prop for the USA when they won the 1991 Women's Rugby World Cup. A trailblazing collegiate and senior player, coach, and medical doctor, Sorensen has been one of the great examples of the best of the game.

She has been present at every WAC awards event to give the trophy that bears her name to the winner.

You, the rugby community, can help the 2027 awardee be picked. It starts with nominations. Fill out the form below. You can vote more than once, but multiple nominations by the same person for the same player will be ignored—we allow multiple nominations to allow you to nominate more than one player.
