USC Trojans Looking for Head Coach
The University of Southern California Men’s Rugby Program is looking for a new Head Coach.
The position includes all coaching, planning and supervising practices and games; selection of players for games (over which Head Coach will maintain exclusive control); managing players, assistant coaches, and other USCRFC personnel.
The Head Coach must be certified as a coach by USAR, and to keep his certification current (USCRFC agrees to pay for fees related to such certification).
Head Coach will receive compensation in the form of yearly salary, parking pass, travel and lodging fees, and basic club apparel.
Job Qualifications:
- ALL Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or possess a visa granted for working in the United States. USCRFC will not sponsor visas
- Candidates living in the Los Angeles area or surrounding Southern California are preferred. If out of area, USCRFC will not be responsible for housing but can assist in helping locate job openings.
- Certified International Rugby Board (IRB) or USA Rugby Level 3 Coach, preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level or higher
- Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of competitive rugby in the United States, preferably in a collegiate environment, including club management and administration
- Exemplary ethical conduct, integrity, and credibility within the game
- Strong grasp over the “Laws of Rugby”
- Clear understanding of the “club status” of rugby within USC
- Commitment to the student-athlete and the ability to coach and motivate student-athletes
- Deadline driven, detail, and result orientated with high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and composure
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication and computer skills needed.
