Tourists Spark NIRA Weekend

Navy hosts Queens this weekend. Photo David Hughes.

We have five non-standings games within NIRA this week, with Oxford University coming to the Northeast to play Harvard and West Point.

Oxford is in-country right now and will train at Harvard Friday before playing the Crimson on Saturday. They then play West Point on Wednesday and the US Naval Academy next Friday.

That will be a nice step forward for NIRA in emphasizing the global nature of the game.

As for other games, AIC has started very strong in D-II but will have their hands full in a cross-divisional game against Brown.

Quinnipiac will be looking to follow up on their solid opening against a Navy side that was smacked pretty hard by Queens at the beginning of the season. GRR will be at that game.

Two Ties on the Road Put Quinnipiac Opponents on Notice

It's a huge day for both teams.

Dartmouth will play Queens at a neutral site, Annapolis, Md. This will be the second of three times that Queens plays at the US Naval Academy, as they play at neutral sites to make the travel a bit even for both teams. Dartmouth is top in the NIRA Power Ratings, but Queens isn't too far behind thanks to a big win over Navy and then a close loss to Brown.
