Three Must-See Games On Day 1 Of The LA 7s. And One Extra
Three Must-See Games On Day 1 Of The LA 7s. And One Extra
We're only four days away now from the LA Sevens, so here's a look at some of the top games on Day One.
1st Round
Ireland vs Canada, 11:13AM
While Canada has always brought the fans to the World Series, and there are plenty of Canadians n Southern California to support their Maple Leafs, some think Ireland could be the new Kenya. Can the Irish fans take charge the way the Kenyan fans have? Either way, we think the fans will have something to say here in this 1st-round clash. Whichever team wins this one has a really good shot at the Quarterfinals.
Ireland brings Jordan Conroy, the leading try-scorer in the World Series, to LA. Amazing to think that a team that only just qualified to be on the circuit has the leading try-scorer.
2nd Round
Fiji vs France, 1:47PM
Led by Remi Siega and Jean Pascal Barraque, France is the surprise team of the World Series so far. Ranked 3rd in the standings, they are peaking at the right time. Fiji might feel the same way. After a couple of iffy tournaments Fiji won in Sydney. This game is like a Cup Final.
3rd Round
USA vs Australia, 8:03PM
Wait until the final game because this game will likely be for all the pool marbles. The USA will have the crowd behind them and will need it in a rivalry game that will be world-class.
Bonus Game
New Zealand vs England, 4:21PM
Seriously? How these two fan bases love to go at each other. Circle this one for sure.
