Well, well. Something like 45 games are on our Boys HS slate this week.
North Carolina's single-school league is coming to a culmination. This week we do have games that don't carry a lot of weight unless there's a big upset. But, yes, we might see an upset, but we also have a forfeit.
In SoCal they have a league that is sort of a school league but also played with teams that are not completely single-school. Called the "Multi-School" league, that competition has two undefeated teams in Murietta and Oceanside facing off this week.

Then they have four teams that are fully single-school keep a close eye on Orange Lutheran, which has a non-league game this week before the big clash with Torrey Pines. For their part, Torrey Pines faces Cathedral Catholic in a meeting of what could be the top SoCal school team and the top SCIRF team. The teams match up well and Torrey Pines Coach Matty Sandoval likened it to the most intense intrasquad scrimmage you could ever have—most of the players destined for the San Diego Mustangs will be from these two teams. Not all, but a lot.
"They've got great coaching, and run a really good program," said Cathedral head Coach Matt Hawkins. "This is the game everyone on the team talks about."
Texas fires up big-time with Dallas Jesuit vs Plano a big game. We see the debut of Cathedral HS Houston. We also see the Texas-Louisiana crossover competition that includes Jesuit new Orleans. While Jesuit NOLA is actually hosting Okapi out of Florida, we see the likes of Strake Jesuit vs St. Pius X and Lake Travis vs St. Thomas.
Oh, and then there's Northern California, with Danville at Marin, De la Salle at Bishop O'Dowd, Bellarmine at St. Ignatius SF, SJM at Jesuit, and St. Francis at Serra. It's a full slate, with most of those being part of the NorCal single-school competition.
Vienna hosts Gregory the Great in a very early game for both.
