Various state leagues have their state finals this week.
SoCal, Louisiana, Virginia, NorCal, Colorado, Oklahoma,Tennessee and Utah all decide state champions. Maryland's IAA champion is decided midweek next week.
Meanwhile, Oregon, Rugby PA, Kansas, and the Md. IAA all have their semifinals.
So in the space of just over a week we'll crown 13 state (regional) champions.
Pretty cool. Oh, by the way, in case you haven't heard, St. Joseph's is replacing Penn at HS Nationals. This is going to be a good move. Penn has struggled with injuries and results this year. St. Joe's has been very good.
