Both St. Edward HS out of Ohio and Fairfield Rugby Club out of Connecticut ran ou 3-0 records at the Frostbite Tournament this past weekend in Lancaster, Pa.
In a series of shortened games designed to get the players onto the field with live opposition. St. Ed's was impressive in the short games, shutting out Union County 20-0 and West Shore United 40-0. Bishop Shanahan did manage to log a score but St. Edward won that one 14-5.
Fairfield beat LaSalle Academy 7-5, Cumberland Valley 26-0, and Loyola Blakefield 24-7, and thus almost matched the St. Edward defensive effort.
