Sixteen teams are expected to be in action this weekend in Southern California’s Varsity White division.

In the Inland Conference, the Dead Rabbits club leads with a 3-0 record, having beaten all the other teams in the conference the first go-round.

Led by the snappy play of scrumhalf Dakota Reames, the Rabbits now take on Desert Sands for the second time, and look in very good shape to go 6-0.

In the San Diego Conference, it’s still early days with University City at 2-0 after beating Alta Vista. That result dropped Alta Vista to 1-1 - AV will take on Coronado in Coronado’s opening league game of the season. University City, led by the outstanding midfield pairing of Patrick Madden and Lolenisi Veimau, will take on 1-0 Mira Mesa.

Rancho Bernardo got their first win this past weekend with an impressive 43-12 win over Mission Vista. RB takes on San Pasqual.

In the LA Conference, View Park Prep rebounded from a close loss to St. John Bosco to beat St. Monica 52-24. View Park now has to contend with league-leaders Mira Costa.

St. John plays St. Monica and could jump to 3-0 with a win, setting themselves up nicely for a run at the conference title.
