There's a very interesting Southern California Youth Rugby school final set up with Torrey Pines vs Long Beach Poly, which is essentially is essentially a clash of styles, a clash of background, and a clash of established vs new.

 The National School 7s is a NEW tournament slated for October in Salt Lake City—a great way for school teams with small numbers to compete on a big stage. |
What Long Beach Poly has done to get to this final is actually pretty remarkable. Hence, we remark upon it. They are proof that you can overcome money issues with the right will and the right attitude.
The winner of that game plays the winner of the De La Salle vs Jesuit game for the all-California school title. There is also a game for 3rd.
SCIRF also crowns its champion this weekend with a rematch of last week's St. Augustine vs Cathedral.
Several teams in the Midwest and Northeast get started, and Utah kicks off its league play too.
And Santa Monica hits the East Coast! Love those big cross-border games.
