SCRC Delays 15s To Spring
(SCRC Press Release)—The Southeastern Collegiate Rugby Conference (SCRC) announced today that it has moved the 15s conference competition to the spring semester as a result of travel restrictions and other unsurmountable obstacles related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This move affects both Division 1 and Division 2 teams of the SCRC.
As student athletes return to campus this fall, they will be met with a variety of limitations associated with social distancing and restrictions related to travel and hosting matches. Teams will work with rec sports departments to establish a training progression patterned from the USA Rugby and World Rugby Return to Play protocols.
The conference hopes to be in position to play Olympic Rugby (7s) by October with the Southeastern Championship held in early November.
This spring, competition will begin in mid-February with a conference championship held in April. SCRC continues to plan for a postseason competition which would possibly include the Big 10, Mid-American (MAC) and Florida Conference.
The Southeastern Collegiate Rugby Conference was formed in 2010 as an association of collegiate club rugby programs with shared goals and characteristics from across the Southeastern United States. SCRC includes 14 teams with over 700 participants:

University of Georgia
