The Mid-Atlantic Academy Championships (MAAC) kicks off tomorrow at Mount St. Mary's with eight U19 boys teams, three U16 boys teams, and two U19 girls teams competing.

These are select sides from various regions as well as MLR academy sides. This is an expansion, really, of a series of games from the fall between DC Young Glory, the NCYRU, and the Ohio Aviators.

Those three teams are involved once more, along with MLR academy sides from New England, San Diego, and Houston. The Midwest Thunderbirds take a side selected from an expanded squad tournament played a couple of weeks ago.

Rounding out the eight U19 boys teams are the Florida Jaguares, which is a select side that competes throughout the late spring each year.

The U16 bracket is Young Glory, Thunderbirds, and Jaguares, while Young Glory and the Aviators field girls teams.
