Oklahoma improved to 5-1 in the Red River with a 20-12 victory over Texas.

It was a close-run thing for half the game. The Sooners got a try from scrumhalf Manny Soto but Texas replied. A penalty from wing Anthony Barthas put Oklahoma up 10-7 at halftime, but Texas score right after the break to make it 12-10 Longhorns. But late in the game fullback William Neff and wing Colin Bray scored to win it for OU.

Texas fell to 0-4-1.

Texas A&M also won, beating Texas Tech 57-8. The Aggies improve to 3-2 in the conference, while Tech’s conference season is finished at 1-5.

Next week the Red River Conference concludes competition, with 5-0 LSU facing 3-2 Baylor, and 1-3-1 TCU playing 3-2 A&M.
