The R7CC tournament has announced its pools for this weekend's men's brackets.

The Men's Gold, Red, and Blue are all set now

The Men's Gold features four very evenly-matched pools. Each group has a team that has been successful on a national level. Each pool has a team that is almost at that level or has had a really strong 2022 season. Each pool has a bona-fide dark horse. And each pool has a team that is a capable underdog.

The Men's Red bracket is for DIAA club teams and includes several conference champions. The big wrinkle is that two of the pools have only three teams. This has been fixed by having the corresponding seeds from those two pools play each other—seeds #1 from Pools C and D play each other, seeds #2 play each other, and seeds #3 play each other.

That produces a nice, neat three-game pool round for every team. This format will make these two pools probably a little tighter than they might have been, and it's possible we might see one of those pools advance a team to the quarterfinals with a 1-2 record.

Finally the Men's Blue sees two pools of three play, and they also will have a crossover game between the pools.

That six-team format will see the pool winners advance to the semifinals, while the other four play-off to decide who joins them.
