It's the second week of 7s action among Boys HS teams in the Pacific Northwest.

In Oregon, the Beaverton Aloha (3-0) are 3-0 after wading untouched through last week's opposition. Lincoln defeated the newly-minted single-school state champs in 15s, Union, in a 15-12 result that promises a nice, ongoing summer rivalry. But Lincoln were upended 24-17 by Beaverton. It seems fair to say those three can expect to be close all summer.

On Saturday in Northgate Park in Portland, Beaverton and Lincoln face off once more, while Union has a schedule that positions them nicely to go 3-0.

Meanwhile, in Washington, Seattle leads the series after one tournament. The Vikings won over tough challenges from Budd Bay, Eastside, and Kent despite having some of their higher-profile players not with them.

Still, Connor Miller showed well and Will Stowersscored in his first 7s game.

This coming weekend the tournament is in Snoqualmie in the mountains. The added altitude will test the young players in more than just the U19 bracket. Liberty leads the U17 series, just ahead of Prairie, while in the U15 group, Chuckanut leads.
