Panther Rugby Academy Holding Camp in North Carolina
After a successful Tennessee camp in December, Panther Rugby Academy (PRA) is kicking off their 2024 camp schedule with a one-day camp on Sunday, January 21, in Gibsonville, NC.
The Gibsonville camp will be highlighted by the presence of USA Women's U20 Coach Joel Bonnaud, who will be heading up the coaching team along with Dave Katz.
Gibsonville, NC, provides a central location convenient to PRA's strong and growing base of players in the Carolinas—and it's worth noting that the Panther Rugby Academy recently sent six players to the USA Rugby U18 National Team camp in Chula Vista, Calif.
Like the December camp in Hendersonville, Tenn., the Gibsonville camp is building towards the two-day super camp in the Atlanta area (Roswell) where teams will be solidified for Tropical 7s in Tampa in March.
In 2023, PRA sent 13 teams to the Tropical 7s, with three Boys U18s, two Girls U18s, two Boys U16s, two Girls U16s, and two U14 teams each for Boys and Girls. As a result, there are many playing opportunities for motivated young players from the South with the Panther Rugby Academy.
Panther Rugby Academy (PRA) is building on a successful 2023 that saw PRA youth teams winning majors championships at the Tropical 7s in Tampa, Fla. and also winning at the National Youth 7s in Cleveland, Ohio.
