Brown rolled to a 46-3 defeat of Sacred Heart to move to 1-0-1 in NIRA's DI.

Zy Thomas, Mahdia Parker, and Lexi Nelson all scored tries that, with Nelson's two conversions, staked Brown to an early first-half lead. By halftime it was 36-0 thanks to tries from Elizabeth Mahoney, Akilah Cathy, and Claudia Dyer. Things slowed down a little in the second half but Brown were in control.

Noelle Lewis and Johanna Bandler also touched down for Brown while Aly Cunningham recorded the lone Sacred Heart points with a penalty goal in the second half.

"It's been a bit of a roller coaster ride in the last couple of weeks," said Brown Head Coach Kathy Flores. "They played great today and I couldn't be prouder of how they played and it gave some of our new players the opportunity to get on the field."

Other action from NIRA on Saturday saw AIC defeated Lander 39-5, while Queens, in a non-conference game, handed Navy a shutout to the tune of 86-0.

In DIII, Bowdoin once again put in an impressive performance, beating Colby-Sawyer 79-0 to move to 2-0. 

Molly Petronzio scored two early tries and recorded three for the day. Colleen Doucette did her two better and scored five in the game. Sadie McClean led with 15 tackles while Jenna Clukey added ten—somewhat amazing that they had the opportunity to make that many tackles given Bowdoin's control of possession.

So, with Sunday's Dartmouth vs Army game not factored in yet, here are the NIRA standings.
