The Women's NCAA league has announced there will be no DIII league this coming fall.

National Intercollegiate Rugby Association Commissioner Amy Rusert distributed this announcement:

On the heels of announcements from all of our DIII member institutions and their respective conferences, NIRA DIII regular and postseason competition will be suspended for the fall of 2020.

This affects the following programs:

Bowdoin College – New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC)
Castleton University – Little East Conference (LEC)
Colby-Sawyer College – Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC)
Guilford College – Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC)
Manhattanville College – Skyline Conference
New England College – New England Collegiate Conference (NECC)
Norwich University – Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC)
University of New England – Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC)

NIRA DIII athletic directors will convene in August to begin discussions on potential options for spring 2021.
