NCR Touring Side Opens France Trip With Win
The National Collegiate Rugby-run NCR All American team is on tour in France as part of a nod to the 100th anniversary of the last time the USA won their last Olympic gold medal in rugby.
Of course the USA returns to Paris '24 this year. The NCR All Americans started off impressively, beating the Beglum U23s 36-20 on Sunday in Dunkirk.
Today they face off with the Franch police team—Gendarmerie Nationale—in Bayeaux.
They wrap up the tournament July 4 with a match against a French Universities XV in Paris.
Along with playing and training, the players visited the Normandy American Cemetery
This team is made up of 29 players, made up of 26 NCR players and three from CRAA D1A teams. The divisional distribution is as follows: NCR D1-25; CRAA D1A-3; NCR D1AA-1; NCR Small College-1.
