the National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA) DII league has suspended its regular season and its playoffs for this coming fall.

The decision was made in part because the member institutions, and the sporting conferences they compete in with other sports, have announced they won't be plying sports.

NIRA, which is the competition for NCAA varsity women's college rugby programs, has therefore followed suit.

The NIRA DII member teams are:

Alderson Broaddus University - Mountain East Conference 

American International College - Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10)

Molloy College - East Coast Conference (ECC)

Notre Dame College - Mountain East Conference

Post University - Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC)

Queens University of Charlotte - South Athletic Conference (SAC)

West Chester University - Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC)

NIRA DII athletic directors will now begin discussions on potential options for spring 2021
