NBC Rugby Pass To Be Part Of New Peacock Streaming Service
NBC is moving its paywalled rugby coverage to its new streaming service, Peacock.
NBC has announced that beginning with the start of their coverage of the Gallagher Premiership on November 20, the NBC Gold Rugby Pass membership will be moved to Peacock Premium.
Peacock Premium is NBC’s new pay-for-access streaming service, and it costs $4.99 a month.
They will show the Premiership, Six Nations, the Sevens World Series, and parts of the Olympics. Peacock Premium also has other sports and additional programming.
Meanwhile there’s an interesting split in the current Six Nations coverage, with the rest of the actual Six Nations games for 2020 — the ones that were postponed due to the COVID-19 shutdown — will be on NBC. But FloRugby will be showing games in the Autumn Nations Cup, which includes Six Nations teams plus Fiji and Georgia.
