NAI 7s Back For 2021
NAI 7s Back For 2021
The NAI 7s will be back for 2021.
After skipping 2020 because of the COVID pandemic, The North American Invitational 7s will return to Salt Lake City's Regional Athletic Complex July 23 to 24.
Registration is open here >> and spaces are already filling up so teams (even local teams!) should figure out their plans soon.
With it being unlikely that Canadian teams will be able to play (although COVID restrictions are changing daily all over the world), the NAHS 7s divisions are being opened, on an invitational basis, to high-level teams not in the core group of NAHS teams. This will ensure good numbers for the highest-level BOys U19 and Girls U19 brackets.
There will also be Men's U23s, and U14, U16, and U18 divisions for Boys and for Girls. Currently the tournament is limited to 72 teams, which is less than the NAI 7s has had in the past, As a result, there will be a fight for spots.
The NAI 7s has welcomed the best young 7s teams from all over North America and has produced plenty of drama and high-level ply. The addition of a U20 men's bracket as a change in 2019, and that has now been made a U23 bracket. This gives exposure to young players in a unique format.
COVID protocols as laid out by USA Rugby will be in place. However, it's important to note that Salt Lake County and the State of Utah have lifted most restrictions regarding gatherings and sporting events.
NAI 7s has partnered with Back10 Pros to supply the referees, and FloRugby will be streaming the tournament live.
Registration has opened and several divisions are already at least halfway full. Go here to register>>
