USA Rugby's Men’s Collegiate All-American head coach James Willocks has named his squad to play the All-Canadian University XV on July 27, at Infinity Park in Glendale, Colo.
The selection has come after two camps were held, one in Norco, CA, and one in New Rochelle, NY, camps that brought in 72 student-athletes to try out.
“This years process has been very expansive and has allowed us to access a greater portion of the collegiate landscape,” said Willocks. “Our regional camps and games against Toronto and RUNY academy sides provided a great platform to identify emerging talent. We are excited for the challenge ahead against international competition and to build on the success of last year’s assemblies.”
Of the players who attended the camps, eight were selected from the West, and eight from the East camp. A further ten were selected based on their performances throughout the season: de Waal, Gorfon, Manzo, Mirhashem, Mooneyham, O'Connell, Rodriguez, Van Schalkwyk, White, and Wilson.
