Men DII College Rankings Week #5
The latest Men's DII rankings are late because we wanted to wait for the Roger Williams v Bentley game.
So that's done, and we've got the updates. This past weekend, in the six games played that involved two ranked teams, the higher-ranked team won five. Only Vermont's defeat of Rhode Island was an upset. In addition, unranked Northern Michigan and Providence College both beat ranked teams.
So we've got a bit of a shakeup. We drop a few teams - UW-Milwaukee, Rhode Island, UMass-Lowell - for results. We didn't get any contact from South Alabama, IUP (again), and Louisiana Lafayette, so USA and ULL drop down, and IUP drops out after their loss to Rowan. We expand the rankings to 50 with solid showings up Northern Michigan, Providence College, Bryant, NJIT, Niagara, and Springfield boosting them to the top 50.
Moving up the most is Colorado School of Mines (we talk about them here), Vermont (we talk about them here), and Endicott (here). Watch out also for UMS&T (here).
